The Wonder of You

As one of the seven natural wonders of the world, Victoria Falls are a little over one mile wide and 351 feet high, making them one-and-a-half times as wide and twice as high as Niagara Falls. From our resort we can see the mist of the Falls rising above the horizon like smoke.

From the entrance of the park, you can't see the Falls....but you can certainly hear them! The thunder of the Falls is loud and clear through the rain forest. We walked along the stone path viewing Victoria Falls from the opposite side of the gorge.

Two things prevented us from getting the perfect picture.....1.) the cloudy mist that engulfed the gorge between us and the Falls, and 2.) the constant misty “rain” that drenched us as we stood at each lookout point (thus, the need for rain gear!).

At the end of our walk, we came to a large bridge that separated Zimbabwe and Zambia.  And, to our surprise....a baboon was waiting to greet us!
