This morning we started our day by sitting outside on the lodge's restaurant patio enjoying our breakfast. Off in the distance (see photo below) you can see the large watering hole that attracts all kinds of wildlife at different times throughout the day.
As the sun was slowly rising in the background out of nowhere we see a herd of elephants (at least 8 + 2 babies) walking out from the bush for a quick drink at the watering hole. Almost impossible for me to describe the feeling when you look up from your breakfast and literally see elephants in your backyard!
Where's my camera? I actually had to run back to our lodge room to grab it. You just can't go anywhere on this trip without a photo opportunity!
Unfortunately, the elephants didn't hang around too long.
But....this was definitely the best breakfast I ever had! I don't even remember what I had to eat.
