Three words – WE MADE IT!
Trying to maneuver our way from Rome to the Citavecchia
port by train was a little nerve-wrecking. I researched this part of
our trip extensively on the internet before we left home. Every part
of our trip was pre-planned except the train ride to the port.....we
were on our own! And, for the most part, everything I read on the
travel forums were positive about the train transfer (no problems!).
Well, I wasn't going to relax until we were on the train
and heading for our Royal Caribbean cruise ship. We luckily found
someone to help us purchase tickets the day before leaving Rome at
the train station. We arrived early at the station the next morning
to catch a 9:40 train...but ran into some confusion reading the
arrival/departure boards and our train ticket...which was (of
course!) Italian!
Yada...yada....yada.....we made it safely to the ship!
And, it even has a Johnny Rockets (all-you-can-eat for $4.95). I'm
gonna wind up putting Johnny out of business!
