After visiting the Acropolis, we headed downtown for a
city tour. We saw the Olympic Stadium where the first modern day
Olympics were held in 1896. We viewed the National Garden (7,000
trees), Zappeion mansion, and the Parliament building (where all the
2011 riots took place). Next, we were dropped off by the Arch of
Hadrian allowing us to go shopping, grab lunch, and sightsee before
leaving the area. Nearby was an area known as Plaka which was ideal
for lunch and shopping.
A local family restaurant was recommended by our tour
guide. The menu was entirely Greek, but they had a mini English
fold-up card for the tourists! The menu offered us four options for
lunch. They bring your table a platter with 18 different Greek
specialties on a tray.....and we were given the choice of picking 2,
5, 7, or 10 items + bread + beer/wine + dessert!
The Leonard's can eat! So we pigged out on seven of the
specialties....and really enjoyed the outside atmosphere at this
local restaurant.

That is definitely the Leonards with the 7 different food dishes. I'm assuming you ate it all?! :-)
Have fun!
