Jenesa must have left her can of WHOOP ASS back home (but she did put up one hell of a fight!). My ass could only fend off one of the two people who mugged us.

Two idiots in broad daylight set the trap. I managed to push away the guy who approached me from behind, but another guy was waiting around the corner to grab Jenesa's pocketbook off her shoulder. Fortunately, we don't carry cash and the pocketbook only had a small digital camera. The biggest thing we lost was total confidence in our Gate 1 Travel tour guide!
Over and over and over again on this trip he reinforced to our tour group about how safe Cape Town is. He mentioned that there are lots of police around the city. Good street lighting. Visible pathways. And he said we could walk to-and-from-the-hotel to anywhere in the city without a problem. I'm just about ready to open my next can of W.A. on him!!! Spent most of our evening at the police station. Fun. Fun. Fun.
